One of the aspects considered is compliance with the roll-over strength requirements of SABS 1563:1992, "Strength of large passenger vehicle superstructures roll-over protection". This specification defines a passenger "survival space" which may not be penetrated by any part of the vehicle structure during a roll-over event. In order to evaluate the design in this regard, use was made of a computer simulation using the CIC-SIM family of programs.
