A novelty in the T9 range is the T917 Astron. It is an extra highfloor variant of the Acron. The 13.84 meter long exhibit (apparently the most popular length in excess of 12 meter) has 59 passenger seats its 3-star execution. The luggage space is enormous : 17.34 cubic meters, despite the presence of an underfloor crew rest cabin and washroom.
It is also the first T9 with the new ZF AS-Tronic automatic transmission and an MAN engine of 460 hp (338 kW).
